Florida - The series between the Minneapolis Loons and the Florida Explorers was tied going into game three with a Pat Dobson - Jim Palmer matchup. Both pitchers had perfect games through 3. In the 4th Frank Robinson teed off on a Dobson hanging curve and gave the Explorers a 2-0 lead. Palmer was perfect through 7. Killebrew lead off the 8th with a walk but was stranded on 1st. Joe Lahoud hit a solo shot in the 8th for a 5-0 lead and all that stood between Palmer and a no hitter was the 9th. Palmer got the 1st two batters and then up stepped Mike Jorgensen. Jorgy worked the count full and then took a called third strike as Jim Palmer finally threw a NO-HITTER!!!.
